Dra. Aurora Piñeiro
Aurora Piñeiro es Doctora en Letras Inglesas y profesora de tiempo completo del
Departamento de Letras Inglesas de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
(UNAM). Sus principales áreas de especialidad son la narrativa irlandesa contemporánea, la novela posmoderna en inglés (Irlanda y Reino Unido) y la literatura gótica (siglos XVIII-XXI). Es miembro de IASIL (International Association for the Study of Irish Literatures), AEDEI (Spanish Association for Irish Studies) y de IGA (International Gothic Association). Fue profesora visitante de la Universidad de Debrecen, Hungría (2002-2003);Conferencista Fulbright en Ferris State University, EEUU (2004); e investigadora visitante en University College Dublin, Irlanda (2014-2015). Fue coordinadora del proyecto PAPIME PE400219 “Literatura angloirlandesa contemporánea (siglos XX y XXI)”, del 2019 al 2021, en la UNAM; y actualmente es responsable de la Cátedra Extraordinaria Eavan Boland-Anne Enright de Estudios Irlandeses, también en la UNAM.

Dr Aurora Piñeiro is full professor in the English Department at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Her main academic fields are contemporary Irish fiction, postmodern novels in English (Ireland and UK) and Gothic literature (XVIII to XXI centuries). She is a member of IASIL (International Association for the Study of Irish Literatures), AEDEI (Spanish Association for Irish Studies) and IGA (International Gothic Association). She was visiting professor at Debrecen University, Hungary (2002-2003); Fulbright Lecturer at Ferris State University, USA (2004); and visiting researcher at University College Dublin, Ireland (2014-2015). She was head of the research project PAPIME PE400219 “Literatura angloirlandesa contemporánea (siglos XX y XXI)”, from 2019 to 2021, at UNAM. At present, she is head of the Eavan Boland-Anne Enright Irish Studies Chair, also at UNAM.
